Most of us would rather hear it from our own doctor than from a label or a website. That is a good instinct. A five-minute conversation before you try anything new is the simplest way to stay safe, and it works best when you show up with a few questions written down.
Bring your full list
Write down everything you take: prescriptions, over-the-counter products, vitamins and supplements. Include doses and how often. Your doctor and pharmacist can only spot a problem if they can see the whole picture.
Questions worth asking
- Is there anything in my current medications that could interact with a hemp product?
- Are there conditions I have that mean I should skip it, or wait?
- Would you rather I start with a topical, or is there a reason to avoid one?
- If I try something, what should I watch for, and who should I call if something feels off?
- How long should I try it before we check in?
Ask about the label too
A good product tells you what is in it and shows proof. Look for a clear ingredient list, an amount of CBD per serving, and a batch lab report you can actually open. Our guide to reading a CBD label walks through it, and every K61 batch has a published lab report.
Start small, keep notes
If your doctor is comfortable with you trying a product, start with the smallest amount, change one thing at a time, and jot down how you feel for a couple of weeks. Patch-test any topical on a small area of skin first.
One more helpful stop
Your pharmacist sees your whole medication list and is usually easy to reach. Our article on the five questions to ask your pharmacist pairs well with this one.
K61 is a menu, not a mandate. Nothing here requires you to try any product, and none of it replaces your doctor's advice.
