Joel Sandoval is a lifelong Kansan, raised in the small town of Stafford. His life has been shaped by the values of the Midwest: hard work, community, and a deep-seated desire to provide for others. A technology professional with 25 years in the industry, Joel discovered that his purpose stretched beyond the server room — it reached out into the fields and onto the roads of his home state.

The Advocate (2014): Years before hemp was legal, Joel was writing letters to Kansas state representatives, making the case for hemp and its potential in wellness. He saw what was coming before most people were paying attention.
The Pioneer (2018): When the Kansas Department of Agriculture sat down to write the regulations that would allow Kansas farmers to grow industrial hemp, Joel was in the room. He helped shape the very framework that made K61 possible.
